'Agape' forces us to use a dictionary
For those who aren't familiar with this obscure term, "Cager"= "basketball player." And here we thought that the only foreign term used by Agape yet unexplored by the public at large was "former homosexual." Touche, Agape. Though while we're on the subject of "ex-queers"...
...the article to which this unorthodox headline serves as inauguration features "former homo" and soon to be radio SUPERSTAR, Stephen Bennett (pic.), jumping in on yesterday's announcement by WNBA star Sheryl Swoopes that she's a lesbian. In the piece, Bennett predicts that by making claims that she doesn't feel she was born gay, the lady b-baller..err, cager....is gonna get gay activists in all sorts of a tizzy. He tells Agape Press:
"With her using that word that she has chosen the lifestyle, I'm telling you it's going to be like whacking a hornets' nest," says Bennett. "The bees [sic] are going to come out and just literally try to sting this lady for saying that."
Which is nuts -- It's his same ol' claims that he loves the ladies that us hornets are continue stinging, not her fresh new ones. Should Ms. Swoopes start implying that she was saved from heterosexuality by a Jesusian intervention and begin referring to herself as an "ex-straight," then we'll buzz her way. Until then, let's all just sit back and listen to this again, as it quite possibly might be the most unintentionally funny thing we've ever heard.
