Report: Florida anti-gays behind marriage-banning schedule
Reports are indicating that those Floridians who are trying to constitutionally ban our right to register for espresso machines and waffle irons, still need to collect 500,000+ names by February 1st in order to get their marriage-banning measure on the November 2006 ballot. According to the Ledger newspaper of Lakeland,FL, the wedding party poopers have only had 101,800 names (of the needed 611,009) certified by the state Division of Elections.
No word on how the 'mo marriage-banners plan on collecting so many additional names in so little time, though we do hear that the question, "What Would Jesus Clone?" has many of them a-thinkin'.
