Ruling: Kansas illegal sex now no more felonious for gays than it is for straights
Overturning a decision from a lower court, the Kansas Supreme Court unanimously ruled today that illegal underage sex cannot be more harshly punished if it is between members of the same-sex.
Relatedly, we today realized that the gay rights movement still has a long way to go when obtaining equal punishment for "statutory rape" is cause for celebration. Though congrats Kansas gays, we guess, sort of, maybe.
