Because honestly, in this year of unprecedented hurricane damage, what angle to this story could possibly be of more importance than the cancellation of the Key West Fantasy Fest? Let's just hope that circumstances won't compel these folks to conjure up any "Hurricane destroys gay bar, 20,000+ other businesses" heds anytime soon.
