Did Alito's collegiate self support gay rights?

by Jeremy Hooper

The Boston Globe has learned that while a senior at Princeton University, Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito:

chaired an undergraduate task force that recommended decriminalizing sodomy, accused the CIA and the FBI of invading the privacy of citizens, and said discrimination against gays in hiring practices "should be forbidden."

This revelation of Alito's 1971 undertaking is likely to make many progressives intrigued, many conservatives concerned, and many college seniors feel really inadequate.

It remains to be seen if Alito actually supported these ideals, and if so, whether he still supports such sentiments now 34 years in the future. However, based on our own experiences with straight men getting in bed with gays while in college, it's highly likely that Sammy woke up the next morning, blamed the booze for his actions, and preceded to awkwardly ignore gay rights from that point forward.

Meanwhile, over at "Bork's Bar and Grill," we hear that Harriet Miers has readied a stool and put an 'Alito Mojito' on standby, just in case.
