'Brokeback' grabs pair of nods, won't let go until Oscar says uncle

by Jeremy Hooper

Folks with Brokeback Mountain snagged a pair of award nominations today, when the Producers Guild of America cited the flick as an option for its "Darryl F. Zanuck producer of the year award," and the Writers Guild of America gave the film a "best adapted screenplay" nod.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the announcement of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) nominations, when we'll curse the fact that that particular union is not called the "Film Actors Guild," as that acronym (FAG) would more readily lend itself to our patented brand of queer wordplay.
