'Brokeback' pulled from Utah theater; 'Brokeass' was not, as nobody caught his po' derriere sneaking in
Over the weekend, that lil' gay cowboy picture that you might have heard a thing or two about, Brokeback Mountain, was pulled from the Megaplex at Jordan Commons in Sandy, Utah, for being...well, for being that lil' gay cowboy picture that you might have heard a thing or two about.
So what does this nad-less display of motion picture yanking tell us about the theater's head-honcho, Utah Jazz owner Larry Miller? Obviously, it would seem to be proof positive that he DETESTS the subtle acting style of Anne Hathaway. What else could it possibly be? He probably disliked her in The Princess Diaries; saw her as not needed in Nicholas Nickleby; found the title of Ella Enchanted a bit of a misnomer; didn't see her in Havoc, because let's face it, who the hell did; and thought The Princess Diaries 2 should've been called Oh No, Not Another Go 'round With You Doin' The Royal Schtick, Ugh. Clearly, he couldn't stand to watch her ruin yet another one of his cinematic jaunts. It wasn't the queer cowboy butt stuff that led to the decision, but rather La Hathaway's approach to on-screen emotional expression. We. Are. Geniuses.
No word yet on how many of the nation's theater owners will act like overpriced tubs of hot, buttered foolish and choose to pull the Oscar-bound flick, though we'll keep you posted as we continue to analyze exactly how much broke a Brokeback could back if a Brokeback could back broke. Or something like that.
