Hey 'ex-gays': Stealing one's sexuality is worse than taking their lunch money

by Jeremy Hooper

Those who present "ex-gay" as if it is a valid minority group are still upset over the recent decision by the National Parent Teacher Association to allow PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) to present at their national convention, yet disallowance of PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays) to do the same. Letting go of sexuality -- piece of cake. Letting go of a decision an organization made 6 months ago -- not so much.

Regarding the PTA president's statements that one of the reasons PFLAG was at the soiree was to address the topic of bullying, "former homosexual"-encouraging PFOX spokesperson Warren Throckmorton expresses some disbelief, telling Agape Press:

"In fact, they had an article that was distributed to all the attendees criticizing my work in sexual identity therapy," he notes. "Now what does that have to do with bullying?"

Yea, what the hell does telling kids that they're wrong for being who they naturally are and placing them in aggressive therapy in which you attempt to tell them that God does not approve of their "choice" and that they should change and live a lie have to do with bullying? After all, it's not persecution if you just say Jesus a lot and have a Bible within ten feet of your person, right? Gee Warren, we can't possibly imagine why a national kid-protecting organization wouldn't welcome you with open arms <rolls eyes in the most dramatic of fashions and makes a breathy "gah" sound >.

It's unclear as to whether America's pupils are getting the message that sexuality metamorphosis encouragement is truly the work of adult bullies; we do, however hear that "I'm rubber, you're glue, whatever you do to try and make me feel bad about myself, bounces off me and makes you look nutty" and "circle, circle, dot, dot, now I've got my anti-gay rhetoric shot" are now very popular playground chants.
