Pope voices anti-gay marriage stance; in other SHOCKING news: PETA detests fur
In an address to Rome's political leaders on Thursday, Pope Benedict reportedly defended his anti-gay marriage position by saying it's "not a peculiarity of Catholic moral teaching but part of an elementary truth regarding our common humanity," before labeling the legal recognition of homosexual unions a "grave mistake."
Confusing us, as we always thought a "grave mistake" would look much more like this:
No word on where, exactly, the Pope will next take the opportunity to say something gay unfriendly. However, we did hear from a Roman fast food drive-thru worker who's quite stumped as to why her last customer replied "GAY MARRIAGE IS AN INTRINSIC EVIL" to her benign inquiry of "Would you like fries with that?"
