Rhode Island lawmakers ready 'marriage for Bill/Bill' bills
Rhode Island Senator Rhoda Perry (pic, l.) introduced a bill in the Senate on Tuesday, and Representative Art Handy (pic, r.) plans to introduce a bill in the state House today that, if successful, could eventually legalize gay marriage in the Ocean State.
Now, to say the Rhode to the Island of marriage equality is an uphill one, would be both an understatement and a cheesy play on words. This being the case, we'll instead say it may be tough for Rhoda to Perry off attacks from conservatives, though both she and Art seem Handy enough to go the distance.
Though best of luck, equality-craving legislators; here's hoping providence will smile upon your well-intentioned fight.
