AFA radio: the audio that keeps on scaring our eardrums

by Jeremy Hooper

Our buddies at Media Matters are reporting that on the 2/2 edition of American Family Radio's Today's Issues, the AFA's Tim Wildmon had as a guest American Vision's Gary DeMar (pic.), a man who once publicly advocated the death penalty for homosexuals, adulterers, and abortion doctors. The two chatted about what they perceive as "the assault on God in our popular culture" (illustrated via "Will & Grace," "The Book of Daniel," and Brokeback Mountain, natch), and Wildmon eventually proclaimed, "Well, one of the best writers out there in the Christian community and thinkers is Gary DeMar."

Using his assessment of DeMar's talents as a litmus test, we'd like to ask Mr. Wildmon to please publicly declare that we write illegibly and think like brain dead baboons. Go ahead, Timothy -- tell us we suck and suck hard. Say our prose is pathetic and our ideas off-the-mark; we welcome it. After all, if a pro-homo execution standpoint is the way to Wildmon praise, we desperately want to be torn a new a-hole at your homo-criticizing hands. Denounce us mercilessly -- we insist.
