VA amendment gets copy-edited; sadly, glaring errors in judgement still remain
In order to more fully disclose that the amendment could also be used to block civil unions and other benefits, the Virginia legislature has approved new wording of the state's proposed gay marriage-banning measure.
Sadly, our suggested wording of "This be some discriminatory, misguided bulsh*t, babies" wasn't accepted by the lawmakers. Eh, whatever -- certainly seemed more truthful to us.
Virginia voters will decide the fate of the newly edited amendment this November; here's hoping they'll find that the wording -- new, old, or otherwise -- much more narrowly defines to which "lovers," exactly, their state slogan would seem to suggest that "Virginia is for," and thus tell the legislative cow dung to f**k off.
