G-SA's breathe a sigh of relief: VA Senate nixes club-centric bill
Yesterday in Virginia, a bill that many perceived as designed to eliminate gay-straight alliance clubs in the state's schools was killed in a Senate committee.
For his part, bill sponsor Matthew Lohr denied that his measure was out to get G-SA's, but rather meant to give "the school board more legal authority that they can act when there are clubs that are promoting sexual activity." So if his defense is true, it of course means that his bill may not have been bigoted, but was definitely f***ing pointless.
