It takes two or more to move 'Tango'

by Jeremy Hooper

Two Missouri libraries have reportedly moved the children's book And Tango Makes Three from the kid sections to their nonfiction shelves, after some parents complained that the tale of two male penguins jointly raising a little one promotes the penguin agenda.

No wait a minute, that's wrong -- it's because they think it promotes the raising babies agenda.

Hmm, no that still sounds faulty -- maybe it was because they feel it encourages ballroom dancing?

Eh, well we can't remember -- but the basic gist is that some parents have some problem with this based-on-true life tale because they don't agree with something in its pages for some reason or another, and their antipathy has led librarians to pull the book from the children's vulnerable eyes. So it must be something really bad, right? At least that's the message these kids will now get.

Damn, we wish we could remember what horrible thing these two male penguins who join forces to raise a kiddie penguin did to leave such a distaste in the mouths of these Missourians. Maybe after we get done running todays errands contributing to the fall of society, corrupting children, and destroying the sanctities of both marriage and family, the genius concepts that led to the non-closed minded parental complains will come to us.

Geez, for the stigmatized lives of us, WE CAN'T REMEMBER! We would guess it's because they detest the idea of black and white things raising a child together, but that seems more like the bias of a previous generation.

Grrr, so frustrating -- what is it that their so scared of?
