Quinn's Irish eyes not smiling on gay-less parade
Due to the parade's disallowance of gay and lesbian groups to march under their own banners, openly-queer, openly Irish-American New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn (pic.) has announced that she will not take part in Friday's St. Paddy's Day procession.
And in a related story, we'd like to announce that due to the fact that its marshmallow rainbows are not in the Red-Orange-Yellow-Green-Blue-Purple color scheme of the Pride Flag, we will this Friday ditch Lucky the Leprechaun's magically delicious cereal for Toucan Sam's Loops of Fruit.
You simply gotta take a stand!
It remains to be seen if Quinn will take part in the other Paddy's Day tradition of consuming copious amounts of green brew. However, we're sure that very much depends on whether or not the barley and hops within the Pilsner are free to come together without facing offensive anti-grain bias.
