Breaking: likely Presidential candidate appears to be playing both sides; oh, and it's also Thursday
The stumping habits of Rudy Giuliani (pic.) are raising some eyebrows among those who know the former NY mayor to be a pro-gay, pro-choice moderate. In upcoming days, "America's mayor" will reportedly campaign for Iowa gubernatorial candidate Jim Nussle, who as a U.S. rep has repeatedly voted for anti-gay initiatives; additionally, the notoriously gay-unfriendly Ralph Reed has announced that Giuliani will headline a fundraiser to benefit his campaign for lieutenant governor of Georgia; and most shockingly -- Rudy appeared at a rally on Tuesday for Tony Soprano's favorite queer rights foe, Rick "man on dog" Santorum.
And gee, we can't for a second imagine why a moderate Republican candidate prez hopeful would think such a "both sides of the fence" strategy would be in their best interest...
You can take the politician out of Manhattan, but you can't take the politician out of the man.
