NY groups file court-friendly briefs; boxers remain judicial system foes
In fourteen "friend-of-the-court briefs," groups such as the American Psychological Association, National Organization of Women, the Child Welfare Fund, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, as well as 200ish religious organizations, congregations, and clergy members, are urging the NY Court of Appeals to end the ban on same-sex marriage in the Empire State.
Confused, we mistakenly filed "friend-of-the-'Night Court' briefs," in which we expressed great fondness for our Marsha Warfield-adorned drawers:

The Court of Appeals will begin hearing gay marriage-seeking arguments on May 31. Here's hoping the court will follow our decision to not instead use Richard Moll's "Night Court" character in the above image, and themselves decide to ignore whatever Bull our opposition may throw their way.
