No DP just off the L.I.E.: Nassau nixes partner registry
Failing to follow in the recent footsteps of neighboring Suffolk County, the legislature of Long Island, NY's Nassau County has voted against creating a domestic partner registry for unmarried couples. Meaning the Mets weren't the only local folks who bat for the same team to suffer a loss last night.
Many of the measure's opponents said domestic partnerships registries will eventually lead to gay marriage; this DPed, marriage-craving New Yorker says, "one can hope."
