UCC it elsewhere: Viacom, NBC-owned cablers reject ad
Among the cable channels rejecting the new gay-supportive ad from the United Church of Christ are the gay-centric Logo and the uber-gay-friendly Bravo networks, due to blanket policies of disallowance from their parent companies, Viacom and NBC, respectively. Unable to brattily tell their parents, "Hey, they're my airwaves, I'm gonna sell my space to whomever I want, and there's nothing you can do about it," the two gayest nets' proverbial hands are pretty much tied on the issue.
However, some of the cable nets that have accepted the spot are ABC Family, A&E, AMC, BET, CNN, CNN Headline News, Hallmark, History, TBS, TNT, E!, Lifetime, Si-TV, and Azteca America. Meaning, of course, that your DVR can fast-forward it there instead.
