'Sh*t, a brick!'
California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been "honored" with this year's "Pink Brick" award, a dubious prize bestowed annually by San Francisco pride parade organizers upon one who they feel has most hurt the gay rights cause. Arnold's primary offensive contribution to the gay pantheon would, of course, be posing for this unfortunate November '05 picture...
...thus destroying many a childhood Terminator fantasy.
To win the award, Scwarzenegger beat out our buddies at the Concerned Women for America, who took second place. Here's hoping that by summer '07, Arnold will have shed both the gay-unfriendly policies and the extra poundage, thus allowing CWA to claim what should've been their dishonorable prize, and gays to replace the shirtless Arnold imagery residing in their memory banks..
We're hopeful, Arnie.
