Constitutional ban-less Georgia, we hardly knew ya

by Jeremy Hooper

Overturning a lower court ruling, the Georgia Supreme Court today reinstated the state's voter-approved, constitutional ban on gay marriage.

Ugh! They're like herpes flare-ups, those marriage bans.

Most pissed about the return? The part of the state constitution guaranteeing equality, as it had slowly started to move itself into the marriage ban's room. But now the bully amendment is back on the scene, ready to knock Mr. Even-Handedness back a peg and redecorate the place with the bias his voters gave him last election day.

::sigh:: Maybe someday you'll get the bigger room, fairness. Maybe someday.
