Punching bags apparently out of stock, rabbis blame gays for crisis in Israel
Did you get annoyed when gays were blamed for Hurricane Katrina? Did you find it disheartening, even if a little amusing, when a rabbi linked gays to a bird flu outbreak? Despise the way Westboro Baptist blames gays when they so much as get a hang nail? Well prepare to get annoyed again, decent folks, as we sinister homosexuals are now being faulted for....THE CURRENT CRISIS IN ISRAEL!!!!!!
Rabbi Pinchas Winston says to WorldNetDaily:
"Why does this war break out this week, all of sudden with little warning? Because this is the exact week the Jewish people are trying to decide whether the gay pride parade should take place in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv"
He then says of the aforementioned World Pride parade:
"This [parade] is an attack against God himself,"..."God has told the Jewish people, 'If you are not going to fight for my honor, you will be forced to fight for your own honor.'"
::sigh:: But if you weren't feeling enough like a whipping boy, WorldNet then quotes author and fellow rabbi Lazer Brody as saying:
"When God's presence is in the camp, nothing can happen to the Jewish people,"..."But If the Jewish people bring impurity into the camp of Israel, this chases away God's presence."
With Brody later adding:
"The Torah is the ultimate book of human rights, giving each individual the right to free choice," ... "What a person does behind closed doors is at one's own risk; but to partake of that behavior in public spreads the impurity to the entire camp."
And finally in this trifecta of blame, WorldNet quotes American rabbi Yehuda Levin as saying the parade is like a parade of "prostitutes promoting prostitution, or adulterers encouraging others to try adultery at least once in their life," with Levin also encouraging citizens to try and stop the festival by any means necessary.
Oy, oy, oy, oy, oy! Of course the above comments really only beg one obvious question: Is scapegoat kosher?
We're not sure how much influence the above leaders have on their communities or how widespread this sentiment is. However, this writer's very concerned as to why he just overheard in his local deli, "What, you're out of herring? Damn gays."
Violence in Israel caused by 'gay' event? [WND]
