*NSYNCer other than Lance makes gay-centric comment
Gossip columnist Jeannette Walls today quotes pop star Justin Timberlake of saying about "American Idol" Winner Taylor Hicks (who he also says "can't carry a tune in a bucket"):
“If [Hicks] has any skeletons whatsoever, if God forbid, he’s gay, and if all these people in Mississippi who voted for him are like [then he takes on a thick southern accent], ‘Oh my god, I voted for a queer!’ It’s just too much pressure.”
Of course they had no problem with Hicks being "gray," so perhaps Justin isn't giving Mississippians enough credit.
It's unclear why Timberlake felt the need to mention hicks at all. It's equally unclear why he talked about Taylor. We kid ya, Mississippians.

***UPDATE: Timberlake's rep, Ken Sunshine, is playing damage control, telling the Washington Post that Justin's comments "were taken completely out of context." Hmm...so maybe he DID say "gray!?"
