Wash attorneys get two week extension to challenge too weak decision

by Jeremy Hooper

The lawyers who argued in favor of gay marriage in Washington state will get two additional weeks to decide whether or not they'll ask the state Supreme Court to reconsider their recent unfavorable ruling.

Hopeful.

However, we think that rather than just using the extra time for negotiations, the lawyers should also plan ahead and make a diorama of actual world destruction, so that in the next round of arguments they can place it on a table beside the marriage-seeking gays and their kids and say, "See, these two scenarios actually aren't one and the same."

::sigh:: We should be attorneys.

Rather than the previously set Aug. 15 deadline, the marriage-seeking lawyers will now have until Aug. 29 to make a decision. Though considering what we know about this particular Supreme Court, they very well may decide to roll back the hands of time on the gays at any second.
