Sheesh, everyone's a 'fag-hating' critic: Phelps blasts Stewart & Colbert
In his latest video diatribe, Westboro Baptist's Fred Phelps is lashing out against Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert for their performance at the recent Emmys, saying that the Comedy Central golden boys "mocked the fact that America has gone the way of ancient Sodom." Phelps declares:
"Comedian Jon Stewart and his hooligan sidekick Stephen Colbert of the Comedy Central TV network are two mockers and scoffers that like to blaspheme God and Westboro Baptist Church. At the Emmy Awards nonsense last week, Colbert began his silliness by bellowing out at the audience, 'Good evening, Godless sodomites. America has become a nation of Godless sodomites, who mock and scoff about their Sodomite sins. Therefore demonstrating that America is a nation of fag-enabling fools because only fools make a mock at sin."
Though don't think Phelps was a negative nancy about the entire Emmy show, as we do hear he thought Farrah looked better than she has in years, that the Aaron Spelling tribute was touching, and that a win for "24" was long overdue.
Just a lover of the television medium, that Phelps!
It remains to be seen how or if "sacreligious buffoons" Colbert & Stewart will respond to Phelps comparing them to the angels who warned ancient Sodom of impending doom and citing them as more "proof that we're living in the last days." However, we do hear Conan O'Brien is all like: "What the Hell? I was the host! What, was my Bob Newhart bit not even the least bit indicative of the End Times? ::sigh:: Always the apocalyptic bridesmaid, never the world-ending bride!"
**This video can be found on Westboro's "Signs of the Times" website (www.thesignsofthetimes.net), but a link from us is something those sillies will never receive.
**UPDATE, 9/8: Fortunately, the clip has now been uploaded onto YouTube, so a Phelps link in unnecessary:
