Are CBS News' blogs anti-'gay'?

by Jeremy Hooper

So we were tipped off by our friends at "Gay USA" to look into the following:

And sure enough, what did we find when looking at the "Couric & Co" blogs? Well, unfortunately we found confirmation:

So what gives? Well, the CBS forum rules state:

So it's likely that their filtering system is set up to automatically block "gay." But why? Our queer behinds don't take offense to being called "gay," and neither should anyone!

We sincerely hope CBS will correct the error in filtration judgement. After all, Enola ***, *** Talese, Ben***, and the lyrics to "I feel pretty" are all potentially newsworthy items.

**If you'd like to find the comments we screencapped, they are from the October 4th entry titled "Our Mailbox Runneth Over" and the October 5 entry titled "Repugnant." If anyone finds others, please let us know.

***Also, for those who don't get "Gay USA" in your area, they have a podcast you can download here and on ITunes. It's an extremely informative show, and a good way to stay up to date on what's going on.

***UPDATE, 10/16: Perhaps they've corrected themselves?
