B'backing down: Senator begrudgingly allows vote on Neff

by Jeremy Hooper

Good As You Images Good As You Images Picture-4-21-2Sen. Sam Brownback, who you might remember has been blocking the confirmation of MIchigan Court of Appeals Judge Janet T. Neff to the federal bench because she once attended a lesbian commitment ceremony, has indicated that he will allow a vote on Neff's nomination when the Senate returns in January.

How sweet of him.

We tried to reach Ms. Neff for a comment on the matter, and after she turned down the Melissa Etheridge CD that was blaring in her Subaru wagon, she indicated that she's even more excited about this news than she is for the upcoming season premiere of "The L Word," but that she would call us back for further comment right after she helps birth her lesbian friend's baby.
