Because gay folks aren't included in their view of 'family,' FOF criticizes tween site's accepting ways
WorldNetDaily has posted an article regarding the gay-friendliness of a tween-focused website called KidzWorld, which they claim is promoting the acceptance of gay marriage, same-sex adoption, and gay people in general (as if that's a bad thing). And in this WND article, Focus on the Family's Linda Klepacki takes the opportunity to condemn the pro-gay information on the KidzWorld site by saying:
"There are many websites that are promoting their own morals and values – or lack thereof," ... "Middle school students have very little abstract thinking ability. They see something in printing on the computer and believe it's true."
Hmm..tweens see something in print on the computer and just accept it as fact? Well, we're glad Focus on the Family isn't taking advantage of this concept with their own Clubhouse tween site. After all, we know they're totally trying to get kids to think for themselves in this piece, in which they conclusively link life-altering storms like Hurricane Katrina to God:
Or in this story, in which kids are taught to shun scientific theory regarding the Earth's creation:
No, absolutely no attempt to shape kid's ideas there!
[::Writer rolls eyes and encourages all kids to do the same::]
Now, in the sense of fairness, we couldn't find any pieces dealing with homosexuality directly on the Focus on the Family tween site. Oh, but when those kids cross the threshold into full teendom, FOF more than makes up for the oversight:

After all, it's not until one reaches high school that they can fully grasp the concept of judging others for living their truths!
::sigh::
KidzWorld -- bravo for fighting homophobia and teaching kids that gay folks are simply part of the spectrum of normalcy! Your world view is not anti-Christian or anti-family! In terms of sexual orientation, yours is the one that is truly in 'Focus.' For that you should never apologize!
