Jersey protects T's from BS

by Jeremy Hooper

With so much focus in New Jersey on the passage of a civil unions bill, another LGBT-centric legislative action has gotten lost in the media shuffle. But by considerable margins in both chambers, the Garden State legislature yesterday passed anti-discrimination protections that, if signed by Gov. Corzine, will make New Jersey the ninth state in the country to make discriminatory practices based on gender identity or expression illegal.

Transtastic! It's refreshing that the Garden State has the balls to support those who wish to not.

Corzine is expected to sign the measure, which will prohibit discriminatory practices in employment, housing and public accommodations. In order to gear up for the transition, the state is said to already be on hormones.
