Only M & F parents suitable in eyes of '&G'
In an interview with an Italian newspaper, openly gay designer Stefano Gabbana (one half of Dolce & Gabbana), says of same-sex parents:
"I am opposed to the idea of a child growing up with two gay parents. "A child needs a mother and a father. I could not imagine my childhood without my mother. I also believe that it is cruel to take a baby away from its mother."
Unsettling. Although we're actually not surprised we disagreee with Mr. Gabbana on this. After all, we apparently also hold opposing views on whether or not it's fun for a shopper to see a clothing item that they think is really cute on the rack, but to then turn it over and discover a garishly large designer logo emblazoned on the back in a way that makes the wearer look like a billboard.
Because with all due respect, Mr. G -- you may find same-sex parenting to be a deal-breaker, but the way you guys mark your (often beautiful) men's garments has broken many deals for us already!
