Funny, we thought 'political football' was their game

by Jeremy Hooper

175Px-Baseball Nes Box ArtSpeaking about this week's progression of an anti-gay marriage amendment through the Massachusetts legislature, Kris Mineau of VoteOnMariage.org says to Focus on the Family's CitizenLink:

"The battle is far from over, but we're halfway there," he said. "It's like in the world series. There are four bases: The signature drive was first base; we slid into second yesterday; third base is another vote in the new legislative session; and home plate is the election of 2008."

Ooh, baseball metaphors! Fun! But ya know, we see it more like this:

"The battle is far from over, but we'll ultimately send our opponents back to the dugout. It's like in the world series. There are two teams: One who wears a uniform of false morality to hide the mean-spirited through that lies underneath, and another scrappy little crew who has the balls to go to bat against those who wish to play hardball with their equality. This week, despite the majority of the home crowd's boos and hisses, the first team was able to advance a runner. However, all this really did was rally the Pro-Gay Wildcats to step up their game. Now more than ever, we REFUSE to let them steal our home!

The "Pro-family" Tigers have already lost their
Mitt. It's only a matter of time before the fouls and errors of the team who claims 'gays corrupt minors' will send them back to the minors."

Pitchers, catchers, and everyone in between -- it's time we step up to the plate!
