MA lawmakers to consider our opposition's biased bullsh*t
In the last day of their legislative session, the Massachusetts legislature will today consider a constitutional amendment to ban the state's currently legal practice of gay marriage.
In a related story, people everywhere will today try their damnedest to write 2007, not 2006, on any document on which a date is required.
So what do these two situations have in common? Well, in both instances, folks will consider whether or not they should roll back the calendar and stem the tide or progress, or whether they should embrace forward thinking and step boldly into the now. And in both, it is the progressive thought that will inevitably triumph over the outdated.
Welcome to 2006 2007, kids. It's gonna be a benighted an enlightened year!
