The calm after the Storms
The county commissioners of Hillsborough County, FL (the Tampa area), have corrected the much-debated, Ronda Storms-initiated ordinance that was to ban the county government from so much as acknowledging gay pride. The new, now Storms-less commission have agreed to reword the ordinance so that gay pride imagery can, in theory, be shown on local government property.
Woohoo!
We'll have to wait until June to see if local government buildings will actually recognize Gay Pride Month. Though honestly, few things make this particular gay any prouder than decency triumphing over a vehemently anti-gay leader's biased actions.

Your thoughts
Not all of us in Tampa supported the discriminatory ordinance and we are glad the new county commissions saw fit to reverse the earlier mistake.

From best I could tell, few supported it. Hopefully there will be little protest now that it's going bye bye!
