Fruitless measure bandied about in land of Mary
Some Republican members of the Maryland Senate today proposed an amendment to the state's constitution that would ban gay marriage. However, some lawmakers say the legislature should wait for the courts to decide on the subject (which they are expected to do in the coming months), virtually nobody in the legislature thinks such a measure would even have the slightest chance of passing, and Gov. Martin O'Malley has said that he would veto the amendment even if it did.
But hey -- don't we all have days at the job where we dick around doing fake, pointless work just so it looks like we're busy?
