Video: 15 minutes to lobbying success
Do you want to tell your elected leadership to take a principled stand for gay rights, but don't where to begin? Is "Dude -- you want to be remembered favorably, right?" not proving an effective enough line to capture your representatives' attention? Do you think "lobby" only refers to the place where you often have to wait for that one perennially tardy friend who thinks her time is more important that your own?
Well fear not, timid rights fighters, for our buddies at the Empire State Pride Agenda have put together a two-part video master class in effectively lobbying your legislator:
Informative, right? Now you just have to figure out what the hell a legislator is and you'll be good.

**ALSO: For those in the NY area who want to put the above tutorial into practice, you can flex your newfound lobbying muscle at the Pride Agenda's LGBT Equality & Justice Day (May 1). There, hundreds of locals will travel to Albany "to help win marriage equality, transgender non-discrimination protections, safe schools for LGBT youth, and more funding for our community’s health and human services needs."
