Video: Hey, I found some logic here in my arse; let me grab a sign, stand on a corner, and tell ya about it!

by Jeremy Hooper

A Queer Youth Advocacy Day was recently held in Sacramento. And true to form, there was nobody on hand to protest the event, as America has finally become a place where gays and lesbians live non-controversial existences.

Wait, what's that? I'm living in a dream world? Rarely is there a gay event of any variety that isn't greeted with at least a handful of sign-carrying protesters? And oftentimes that spout their own convenient pseudo-religious, baseless psycho-babble to paint a picture of gay immorality?

Oh. Well fortunately filmmaker Nate Feldman was in Sacramento to document those who did choose to protest at this particular event:

Wise.

Your thoughts

Try as hard as I could, I still couldn't keep myself from laughing as one 55 year old, unmarried, childless, male took us on one convaluted journey into why homosexuality is wrong. I'm still trying to wipe tears from my eyes. WOW!

WOW! After watching this video, I do not know whether to laugh or cry...

On the one hand, I want to think that if this is the opposition, why do we still not have our rights? I have a hard time beleiveing he even understands what he is saying. He is obviously regurgitating something he has been told over and over again by a religeous group. He can barely understand himself, and has no ability to convince another reasonable person of anything other than his own incompetence.

On the other hand, the opposition makes use of these "obediant compliant drones" who do not question, reason or think on there own. It scares me to the very core that these groups have a voice in this country.

There are quite a number of us out here that totally support people like Dick Otterstad and Don Grundmann. Homosexuality (sodomy is a much better word) is sin, a perversion, and should not be forced on young kids. (But how else do gays reproduce?) Those QYAD youth have been deceived into thinking LGBT behavior is an 'acceptable lifestyle' when it absolutely is not. 'There is a way that seems right unto a man but its end is the way of death.'

Really, Fearless? There are some of you out there who disagree with gays? Gee, we hadn't heard.

Posted by: G-A-Y | Apr 5, 2007 12:04:14 PM

Yes, G-A-Y, there are people who disagree with Sodomites and choose rather to agree with God (who, by the way, disagreed with sodomy so much that he destroyed the city of Sodom as recorded in Gensis chapter 19).

However, the men of Sodom were more ignorant than you. Because you know the truth, you will be held to a greater standard. Jesus said "Repent Ye, and believe the Gospel." Mark 1:15. I suggest you do that.

Wow, that's funny -- "Fearless" and "Herbert The Pervert" share almost identical IP addresses. Pick one handle and stick with it, kiddos.

Sorry. There's lots of 'similar IP's' out there, and though we think alike on things it seems, I am not Herbert. Get a clue. You have two different people warning you of the same judgment coming on you--flee from the wrath to come! Unlike the people of Sodom and Gomorrah who perished, you can learn from their example and live...if you repent!

Posted by: Fearless | Apr 5, 2007 3:09:36 PM

Sorry. I'm definitely not "Herbert", though we sure do share similar thoughts on the subject. Similar IP's--coincidence, not confirmation. Besides, anyone can see that the style of writing is quite different, as in get a clue? Take heed then, that 2 very different people are warning you to flee the wrath that is to come. And as Herbert mentioned, and I'll expound, you can learn from the example of Sodom and Gomorrah and repent, rather than perish as they did, in eternal damnation. The choice is yours.

I'm definitely not Herbert, though I like the idea that someone else out there is willing to come out with me against homosexuality. Get a clue; our style of writing is completely different. To draw from Herbert, though, think on the example of Sodom and Gomorrah, and learn from it. You don't have to perish in eternal damnation as they did; you can repent and live. It's your choice.

Yea, "Fearless?" You mean two people within the span of one hour, both using Local 3 Communications who live in or around the Nevada/California border (awfully close to the "Church of the Divide," the folks responsible for the videos) both got the idea to "warn us of judgment? What a bizarre coincidence! Even more bizarre is that every time you post as "Fearless," you have a different IP address, yet it always starts with 4.245 -- the same as Herbert.

What are the odds?

Posted by: G-A-Y | Apr 5, 2007 3:44:21 PM

Odds? Try a snowball's chance in hell.

Posted by: Fearless | Apr 5, 2007 5:35:36 PM

Another comment, another similar, yet slightly different IP addy. And where did Herbert go?

Posted by: G-A-Y | Apr 5, 2007 5:38:31 PM

what a yahoo!
