Cali moniker morphing to become less burdensome?

by Jeremy Hooper

SmithfudgeBy a 45-20 vote, the California Assembly has passed a bill that would allow all who marry or register as domestic partners (gay or straight, male or female) to change their surnames without any sort of court order or excessive legal wrangling.

One small step for man; one giant leap for men who wish to never again be associated with the burdensome lineage to which they were born!

The bill now heads to the Senate for further consideration. Although, ya know -- we've never really been comfortable the name of that particular legislative body, so we think we'll just go ahead and change it to "Sin, it's not."
