It was a pain in the Mass, but some gay New Yorkers are now hitched
If you are a gay New Yorker who got hitched in Massachusetts between May 17, 2004 (when gay marriage became legal in the commonwealth) and July 6, 2006 (when New York's anti-gay marriage court decision was issued) -- congratulations, you're legally married:

::sigh:: Want it be great when we no longer have to wait for loopholes and decisions to slowly grant us legally recognized monogamy handfuls at a time? Yes, we think so. But for now: Mazel tov, those New Yorkers who will benefit from this decision! May you never have to find out if your road to divorce will be just as bumpy and annoying as your road to matrimony!
