Mass photos: A preemptive strike
The folks at the radical Massachusetts anti-gay group MassResistance have promised to release some "shocking" and "disturbing" photos from the Youth Pride event that was held this past Saturday in Boston Common:
So while they sort through their photos to find ones they deem scary enough to shock their peeps, we thought we'd go ahead and show you a less sensational idea of what the event was truly all about. These photos from Flickr user aquarat:
Are these flashy and all that newsworthy? Nope, not really. However, it's certain that just like they do with any even that's gay related, MassResistance will focus on the sensational (or at least what they know their followers will deem sensational) when they bring you their photos. That being the case. we wanted to focus on the mundane, everyday folks who are just as much a part of the American fabric as anyone else, and who are sick and tired of the nonstop demonization being propagated by groups like MassResistance.
Gay events are ALWAYS a mixed bag of people, ideas, and creative expressions. Just like life. We'll bring you MassResistance's images once they post them. They'll be the ones with at least one man in a diaper.

Your thoughts
I loved your piece on PBS, by the way. I'm starting to wonder if you are beginning to understand the older generation's anger and seriousness when dealing with these issues. Imagine going through this for 20+ years with the addition of the fighting being just to recognize a disease that is killing everyone around you. That's why the seriousness.
Keep up the good work.

ptboat: I hope nobody ever thinks that I fail to understand ANYONE's anger and frustration in dealing with these issues! And as for the generations preceding my own: I've never had anything but respect and admiration for the bravery and goodwill displayed in the face of adversity.

G-A-Y,
Your page is amazing and you are doing a great service to everyone. When I saw the piece, which I loved by the way, I just chalked the statement as the truth of optomistic youth. I'm sure I said the same thing, when I was a kid, only I didn't have it cut and pasted for a national television piece.

ptboat: I'm not upset. I just have no clue what "statement" you are talking about.
