Gettin' in head of he who got in Ted
In this weekend's edition of The New York Times Magazine, Mike Jones, the man who blew the...whistle...on Ted Haggard, revealed a few things about himself:
1) He's a political moderate who voted for Bush in 2004
2) He's upset that the national LGBT groups have not shown him more love following his outing of Haggard
3) He bristles at the term prostitute, much preferring "male escort"
Though pervs looking for the lascivious details need to move on, as there's nothing in the piece on whether Haggard liked:
4) play
or
2) 69
Gotta get the book for that! But to read the full non-graphic Times Magazine interview, see below:

Your thoughts
I think NG is right. I kind of feel like we're getting kind of caught up in ourselves in trying to provide an image of normality, which is great - the majority of LGBT folks really do just want to be politically boring and uncontroversial. Still, it's important to remember those people within the community who aren't completely normative and to provide for their needs as well, because isolating them isn't going to help anyone and it's not in the spirit of caring. I don't necessarily agree with him on a lot, but he still deserves to be respected as a person. What can we do to support Mike Jones?
