Alumni made glum by faux knot tie

by Jeremy Hooper

A pair of straight men, Ross Weil and Brett Royce, are suing their alma mater, American University, because of a recent prank printed in the school's magazine that claimed that not only claimed the two dudes were hitched to each other, but also that Weill was the COO of a fictional group called the Gay Rights Brigade. The boys are claiming that they were harmed by the faux announcement:

GAY HANKY-PRANKY SPURS $1.5M ALUM-LETTER LAWSUIT [NY Post]

Poor dears. But you know, it's quite ironic how one duos' mental anguish is another's dream. Loads of gay couples would give their ring fingers to be able to marry their same-sex partner, and yet the mere suggestion of such is enough for another to get all kinds of litigious. Poor paradoxical gay marriage: You're always damned if you do by some, and damned if you don't by others!

It remains to be seen if the boys will get any gifts from the school. Though we do hear they are registered at the law offices of Michael Kaufman, Manhattan District Court, and Bed Bath and Beyond.
