Video: Slurrin' & Lewis?

Did Jerry Lewis get "fag"-happy during the waning hours of yesterday's Labor Day telethon, or did he instead say "fatty"? Well, sadly we it's the former rather than the latter; but listen to this clip closely and decide for yourself:

Give money for MDA research and get a free slur! Phone lines are now open.

So far nobody from Lewis' camp or the telethon seem to have acknowledged the slip. Or then again, maybe this writer's just an "illiterate fa-" who can't read or cipher the explanatory statement.

**UPDATE: The jury's not out for GLAAD. They're calling on Lewis to apologize:

**Interesting note about the video: You might notice that the video we have up now is different than the one we had this morning. That's because while there were MANY unbranded versions of the video floating around this A.M., virtually all of them have been pulled except for the ones that TMZ or other sources have branded as their own. And of course many folks in the mainstream media are now crediting TMZ with posting the clip, even though it was up on some sites hours before TMZ ever got to it.

We have no real point in saying all this, other than that it's interesting/annoying to see how of the more corporate online outlets will "brand" a video of which they themselves have no real ownership, and all of a sudden it somehow becomes their property. We're not exactly sure why uploading something and slapping a logo on it makes a certain clip one's intellectual property, while the un-logoed versions are deemed to be unacceptable usage.

Your thoughts

It's time to sack the old despot. He has done some great work for those kids, but I watched five minutes of yesterday's telethon and couldn't help but be offended by his boorish behavior. If figures that it devolved to using that fag word.
