And not just because they fear the forthcoming 'L Word' premiere will suck
A newly released Witeck-Combs survey says that lesbians feel more stress around the holidays than heterosexual women:
NEW SURVEY REVEALS LESBIANS FEEL MORE STRESS AROUND HOLIDAYS THAN THEIR HETEROSEXUAL COUNTERPARTS [Witeck-Combs (pdf)]
Why? Well, because instead of simply wrapping their husband's packages, they're expected to eat the box. Obviously.
The survey doesn't say to what specific degree bisexual women feel stress during the yuletide season. Though we imagine that their "bi now, gay later" plan does bring about its own unique anxiety, especially in regards to when the Bill (or the Billie Jean) will be due.
Your thoughts
Witeck-Combs is a for-profit marketing firm that regularly conducts these unscientific, statistically meaningless online "polls," issues snazzy headline-grabbing press releases and then tries to sell their "reports" to gullibe consumer-oriented businesses for thousands of dollars.
Perhaps exploiting the "gay dollar" with snake oil marketing research constitutes progress. I'm not so sure.
