Video: Nothing says male bonding quite like bashing gays
This is a slice-of-life video in which a father and son discuss their gay relative, Timmy (who the son says he is "ashamed to have ...in [his] family"). But just a warning -- language is not entirely safe for either work or decent minds:
Wow. Most of us only have a foggy idea about how our homophobic relatives talk about us in private. But thanks to the magic of Youtube, this Timmy person now has vital insight into the sort of behind-the-back chatter that his mere existence has spurred within his male kin's beings. And that will be far more helpful than anecdotal evidence when the therapist asks, "So why do you feel like you were mistreated at the family reunion?"
