Video: This Xmas, remember that Jesus hates you (or at least 'your actions')

by Jeremy Hooper

Homosexuality = an "action"? Wow, how convenient for her arguments:

You know, it's a funny concept, this "love" thing. If you truly show it and if you truly do traipse through this world exhibiting compassion for all of the various creatures that surround you, then protestations regarding your displayed affection are not something you feel the need to make. It's usually only when there's some sort of guilt on their heart that one feels a strong visceral need to make verbal demands vis-a-vis their endearment exhibitions.

With her "I come from a place of love" schtick, this gal sounds like a kid who overcompensatingly swears to their mother that they didn't eat all of the Christmas cookies, yet whose breath smells suspiciously of ginger. And while we agree that one should not come back at her from a place of hate, we absolutely refuse to let her or any anti-gay get away with this sort of "loving" self-assessment. It's offensive not only to gays, but also to anyone who truly does value kindness and ethical treatment for the diverse spectrum that makes up reality.

Your thoughts

This comment is coming from a place of love as well. “Concordinance” is not a word, nor is a concordance a “bible dictionary”.

And since we are reading the English interpretation of the bible literally, I suggest Amber take a look Proverbs 23:2. It’s, you know, something that has been on my heart for a while. I don’t hate gluttons as a people, I just hate gluttony as an action. And, um, I hope Amber takes this as love because I am coming from a place of love. I do have a lot of family who are gluttons and I tell them the same thing. I’ve sat down and talked with them about my feeling in my heart and I’ve read the Bible to them.

Amber may want to think about "Judge not, lest thou be judged." Of course, that's not a lot of fun, and it would certainly not make for a great YouTube rant. I wonder if she can read ancient Greek and Hebrew. Otherwise she is reading a translation of a translation that was hand copied from a copy which was copied from a copy and so on and so on. However, I do have good news for Amber ... my husband and I do everything that Jesus said homosexuals should do. What's that Amber? Jesus didn't say anything about homosexuals? Well, he did say plenty about divorce. Perhaps a rant to all your divorced friends and relatives is in order. Are you married Amber? Do you always submit to your husband? Didn't Paul also say that women should not put themselves into a position of teaching to males - even us lowly gay males.

Amber how do you explain David and Jonathan? How about the centurion's servant who's life was saved by Jesus. In the ancient Hebrew, the servant's position translates as boy toy.

Amber, your next YouTube rant may be better if you shut off your TV first.

One last thing Amber, Merry Christmas to you. Also a Merry Christmas to all the readers of Good As You. A special Merry Christmas to the hard working scribe of Good As You.
