CA: Taxes still less taxing for gay widows/widowers
Yesterday in San Francisco, the California Supreme Court rejected an attempt to overturn an earlier ruling protecting domestic partners from higher property taxes when one partner dies and the other inherits their shared home. One small step for man; one giant leap for the gay person who shouldn't have more to worry about at the time of their partner-of-thirty-year's death than the straight woman whose husband bit it on their honeymoon.
