More egg served on anti-gays' faces
So remember last week when grown men who should know better (Matt Barber, Peter LaBarbera, Joseph Farah, etc.) took reports linking gay men to MRSA and used them to demonize the queer set? And remember how the CDC issued clarifications, but the demonizers still chose to ignore those clarifications in favor of anti-gay hyperbole? And remember how many of us in the LGBT community were left absolutely sickened by the way they were so eagerly trying to paint MRSA as the "new AIDS"?
Yea, well, the mainstream media caught on to it all. And just as we expected, the anti-gay fear-mongering has prompted the researchers responsible for the initial MRSA report to come out and disconnect their intentions from the misleading suppositions that the 'mo foes have been propagating. Here, check out this NY Times report for more:
After Linking New Strain of Staph to Gay Men, University Scrambles to Clarify [NY Times]
You can of course expect the reactionary extremists to apologize to the gay community sometime after Dennis Kucinich is inaugurated president of Frozen-Over Hell while riding on the back of a flying pig (expected to be sometime around the 12th of Never).
Your thoughts
It's like they _want_ there to be a public health crisis, as long as it suits their agenda. That's disturbing.

Oh, come on, apologize! Surely you jest!
However, what I do see coming down the line is a tired cry of, "The ultra-powerful homosexual lobby has forced researchers to retract their research and obfuscate what they showed about the dangers of homosexuality! We must stop them from hiding these facts!!"
