Wow. Okay, so this is actually very encouraging
So you remember that guy Stephen Dunne who last year blamed a gay marriage question for hims failure to pass the Massachusetts bar exam? And remember how he proceeded to set up a gay-condemnatory website on which he sought funds for his legal battle against the Massachusetts Bar Association (among others)? And remember how it seemed like a foregone conclusion that we'd ever be marching anywhere near him at a Pride parade?
Well, fast forward to January of 2008, a time when Mr. Dunne is doing what few of the many who have wronged the gay community have done before. Yes, that's right -- Stephen Dunne, in a new interview with Bay Windows, is actually APOLOGIZING to the gay community for his antics. Go have a read:
’I’m embarrassed at what I did’ [Bay Windows]
Alright, one down; ten billion and six others to go. Who's next? Dobson? Perkins? LaBarbera? We're a forgiving lot. The road to redemption begins at a heartfelt apology.
Your thoughts
Call me bitter and cynical, but I'm not sure it's heartfelt.
The article says he's taking the bar exam again in two months, and if he passes then he will have to explain his conduct to the state bar (i.e., the very people he frivolously sued).
This public apology goes a long way to getting past that hurdle.
Just saying...

Hmm, interesting thought, Kip. Let's hope this is not just opportunistic.

Actually it's two down, 10,000,000,006 others to go.
Let's not forget about Joe Murray formerly of the "American Family Association".

Ooh, you're totally right, Zenith. Joe was a particularly welcome one.

"Actually it's two down, 10,000,000,006 others to go."
The comments on this website and others are pathetic.
I stumbled upon this site searching for an update about Mr. Dunne, who had the courage to state what he saw as injustice and propaganda.
I see that homophilic writers are a pretty derisive lot. What a pack of hyenas, and how thankful to the good Lord that I can escape, albeit temporarily, by a simple keypad click. Trouble is, the hyena pack has gotten so good at snapping at the heels of government and public institutions that sanctuary for decency is diminishing daily.
Mr. Dunne, the decent majority supports you, and encourages you to apologize for nothing, when you were simply standing up for decency.
The rest of you hyenas... go clean up your act.

Lol. Michelle, your comments are too over-the-top to be offensive.
If you're going to accuse others of being derisive as you try and seize the moral high ground, it's not wise to turn around and call those with whom you disagree a "pack of hyenas," etc.
