Video: Who'da thunk a funeral picket could cause a fracas?
Wanna see a Westboro Baptist funeral protest fail miserably? Of course you do:
::sigh:: And to think that with that amount of free time and manpower, they could've all worked together to build a Habitat for Humanity home or something. But whatever -- we're sure futilely screaming at one another on street corners is somehow a valid way to honor both God and the dead.

**It should be noted that Westboro is using this very video to highlight their claims that the police acted inappropriately, and that God is punishing them for their lawlessness. And It also should be noted that nobody can seem to find any newsman by the name of "Frank Douglas" in the Reno area, leading some to suspect that this video is itself a Westboro production.
**Oh, and it should also be noted that this is not how you spell "lying":

I want to see someone do a tit for tat demonstration at the Westboro site. Carry billboards saying "God hates hate!" and the like. Do it day in and day out. Wear the sons of bitches down.

The Phelps may be crazy, and certainly Shirley Phelps is as mad as a March hare, but they are being truthful about what they are thinking. A week or so ago, she said that gays should be locked up and executed. Now you know that a lot of wingnuts are thinking just that. They just don't have as big as balls as she does, so they keep those thoughts to themselves.

I'm inclined to join those who suspect the video was a WBC production. I mean, what kind of reporter would cover a story involving allegations of police misconduct and not try to get a statement from one of the police officers or a spokesman from the police department?
