House of Grimace makes far right do same

by Jeremy Hooper

A few weeks back we told you how a prominent executive with the McDonald's corporation, Richard Ellis, has joined the board of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. And now, as should be predicted whenever a company and its prominent officials make a stride towards equality, those who protest gay rights at every turn are lashing out against Ellis and his parent hamburger purveyor for this announced queer support. This piece of anti-gay activism passed off as a "news" story comes courtesy of WorldNetDaily:

Didn't want to follow the link and read all the subtle nuances behind this latest protestation of societal progression? Well, we don't blame you. Basically all you need to know is that whenever anyone with money, influence, or McNuggets makes a push for the sort of world that sees diversity as a strength and bias as a weakness, those who have made a cottage industry out of propagating the latter are going to bitch like a five-year old who just received a toy-less Happy Meal. This is just the latest in their long line of "WAAH!" moments.

But just wait until they find about Wendy's plans to give their title heroine a "special friend" named Linda. Ooh, the fries are gonna fly!
